Maternal Mental Health Week - tapping on exhaustion

Exhaustion and lack of sleep can have a direct effect on your mental wellbeing. Difficulty falling asleep or back to sleep after being woken by your baby, anxiety or to-do list interrupt sleep and the quality of your energy levels, patience, sense of peace and more.

According to this article on Short- and long-term health consequences of sleep disruption, the short-term consequences of sleep disruption include increased stress responsivity, somatic pain, reduced quality of life, emotional distress and mood disorders, and cognitive, memory, and performance deficits.

I experienced interrupted sleep for the first few years of my daughter's life and know the impact it can have. Sadly I did not have EFT at that time but I have helped hundreds of mums to reduce exhaustion whether they sleep well or not, and more often than not, EFT not. And more often than improvements are felt with better sleep, more energy, and being a calmer, happier mum!

In my book Frazzled to Fabulous, one mum who took part in my 30 day challenge to "get their sanity back" shares:

‘I’d never experienced tapping before and I can’t believe that after a whole day of feeling that I could hardly keep my eyes open, I’m now feeling completely relaxed and energised, with no usual evening back pain.’
